What kind of server is AxolotlSMP?
AxolotlSMP is a modded Minecraft server running on Fabric 1.20.1. We focus on creating an immersive underwater experience with carefully selected mods while maintaining a vanilla-plus feel.
Is the server whitelisted?
Yes, we maintain a whitelist to ensure a quality community. You'll need to apply and be approved before joining.
Do I need to pay to play?
No, AxolotlSMP is completely free to play. We don't have any pay-to-win features.
Installation
What do I need to play?
You'll need a licensed copy of Minecraft Java Edition, Prism Launcher, and our modpack. Check our Getting Started guide for detailed instructions.
Why do you use Prism Launcher?
Prism Launcher is free, open-source, and makes managing mods much easier. It also helps ensure everyone has the correct mod versions.
How much RAM do I need?
We recommend allocating at least 8GB of RAM to Minecraft. You can adjust this in the launcher settings.
Gameplay
Are there any server rules?
Yes, we have basic rules to ensure everyone has a good time. The main ones are: no griefing, no cheating, and be respectful to others. Check our full rules page for details.
Can I use my own mods?
Only client-side performance mods (like sodium) are allowed beyond our modpack. Any gameplay-changing mods must be approved by staff.
Is PvP enabled?
PvP is enabled but must be consensual. Random killing or spawn camping is not allowed.

We run on high-performance hardware with an AMD EPYC processor, 128GB RAM, and NVMe storage to ensure smooth gameplay.
